That Hawaii Five-0 Show

Okay, they're really not doing anything different and you have to stomp on the little 'oh, no way would it happen like that' voice. The sentimental moments make my toes curl and yet, it is vastly entertaining for those reasons.

Of course, the main reason to watch is the chemistry between the characters. They're all so darn likable. Not to mention - because you can't help mentioning it - these are some very pretty people running amok in Hawaii.

The bromance of Steve and Danny is at center stage, but Chin and Kono are no slouches. They're interesting in their own right and there's no wishing to get back to Steve and Danny already.

And is Grace Park like size minus 0?

The guys are built - which begs the question - why haven't the shirts come off more? They're in Hawaii. Sun, surf and sand. This is a show that can do cheesy, so do it!

And I want to mess up Danny's hair....

Agreed on all of the above! This show is my new weekly happy place. :)

Also, I forgot to give you my $.02, but that's the pic I would have chosen, too!

I did just post a fic!

And it's a gorgeous pic. My second fave was the road cresting over the hill (I love snow and love scenery shots).

Not sure what kinds of icons you're looking for but [livejournal.com profile] faye_dartmouth has some: http://faye-dartmouth.livejournal.com/82381.html. She's also written fic, as has [livejournal.com profile] moogsthewriter and there are some at Archive of Our Own as well.

Snowshoeing! Snow in general! Glee!!!

H50 - totally a happy place to hang out, isn't it!

ZOMG you've so summarized H50 for me perfectly in those few paragraphs. I love the show for exactly those reasons and my Mom and I (who watch it together) have fun kinda snerking a little with those 'no way it would happen like that' moments.

But the characters are so GREAT it really doesn't matter to me. Not to mention the explosions. Explosions and car chases iz GUD TV.

I was discussing it with her over this past Monday's eppy, and she said that it reminded her of a true 70's or 80's action TV show, which may be a little of what they're going for. I asked 'in what way' and she said 'oh, back in the day when we were all really too stupid to realize how implausible lots of things were'.

I had to *LOL* at that, because it's so true. We're really way too well informed to be able to suspend reality nowadays.

But I will do it with this show because I LOVE THEM ALL.

I want to mess up Danny's hair, too. But seeing at how it is combed, I wonder if there really is any other way to comb it. I'd kinda like to see him with it short and spiky. :P

You've inspired me to make icons now. :D

*looks suspiciously at all the guys on my tv boyfriends list*

what makes you say that?

I am enjoying this show, even though methinks they're trying just a bit TOO hard on the bromance. (When you can almost SEE the "Insert Snark Here" it's perhaps a bit too obvious.) But one thing that made me happy was an interview in TV Guide with Alex and Steve, where they talked about how well the two of them hit it off. So, the chemistry is apparently real, just perhaps a bit overdone.

And you are correct! I hadn't really noticed but I also have enjoyed Chin and Kono just as much as the boys, so they are doing a nice balance with all four of them.
