I'm so late with this post, but did you hear the gleeful giggles from my house?
Nathan and Duke's relationship this season is going to end me in the happiest way. That's right, Duke, risk yourself for Nathan's sake. Go ahead, I'll watch. Be all brave, desperate and self-sacrificing. While there wasn't a real moment between them after Duke was all brave, desperate and self-sacrificing - that was saved for a Jennifer/Duke moment - I'm all right with it. Let's not smoosh 3 seasons of animosity, anger, reluctant like and I'm pretty sure, reluctant respect with those ever so interesting flashes of what their relationship could be and we're now seeing with these first few episodes. Let me savor it. But do not STOP.
Jennifer - they better keep her or I will.
When Jordan steps down from her mad, she's far more interesting. She's far more interesting with Dwight. And doing her own bit to stop the blood pool - which was a rather icky/interesting trouble. I like seeing her beyond the one note - I'm so pissed at you, Nathan, and you need Audrey to kill you. She has reasons, but I would like to see them explore just how twisty of a dilemma they have here.
Audrey was suppose to go into the barn for them. To what - no one really knows. But so they could be without their troubles for 27 years, yadda, yadda. So. Jordan wants to be able to touch people without hurting them. Understandable. Sacrifice the one to save the many - gotcha. She'll be able to touch. Important. Nathan would be able to feel, but he felt Audrey - who was first a friend, then more. Now he's dealing with the fallout of the decision he made. Which I like seeing. It's not comfortable and it shouldn't be. Having people falling over to forgive him would be absurd. His actions are considered selfish, yet wouldn't it be considered selfish as well to send someone whether is be a stranger or a friend to end your trouble?
I understand that Nathan's decision has far reaching affects. One person's trouble - much damage. But were these people really all right with sending a woman off to this mysterious barn knowing she loses all she is time after time? The good of the many outweighs the good of the few?
Dwight sending the Teagues to ID the possible Audrey body. I loved the scenes at the morgue. Scary Vince with all these interesting layers. One of those scenes where what you saw is what you get. Otherwise, you wonder how much other stuff is really brewing underneath with all they don't say.
Duke and Wade - oodles and oodles of potential there.
Audrey!
I could go on and on. I'm not, but I could.
I loved this ep.
