It's sort of turning out that way.

Still crossing fingers for Almost Human. I looked at the shows ratings compared to some of the others and I'm still not getting what Fox is about. But this is the network that canceled Firefly. I'll probably never get what Fox is about.:)

The Marvel Universe special deal was interesting. I'm certainly enjoying the movies - the new Captain America - so there. And Agents of Shield is growing on me.

Emma update - little darling has a tumor/mass/something by/on her throat. Needs her food watered down to make it easier to eat and she's more of the mind to sleep or cuddle. We're taking some steps holistically, but not going to pursue anything more invasive. It's not worth the trauma to her and it sends her backsliding so much that any potential gain would be lost. She is beyond cute right now with her expectations of major spoiling. All in all she's doing fairly well, but sending good healing vibes her way would be awesome.:)

Puppy sitting starting tomorrow. We had the boy last weekend until Monday. Coming back tomorrow. Means a lazy weekend. I can take it.:)

Have a great rest of the week everyone!

Life - I'm done with business coaching! For now. I won't say forever since it's proven very valuable, but I love not having the 'homework'.:) However, I am off to shovel snow. I know it's March. There's going to be snow. But poo. Snow. I was so excited to see asphalt. You could see the potholes and avoid them. Seeing dirt? I celebrated.:D

In the Emma news - still concerned. We have a vet coming to our house Friday to check her out and make sure we're not missing anything. Emma is so snoggy. When she meows it sounds like she's underwater. Which is actually adorable, but not right. Eating well and all that and wants to snuggle. If we could get her over this, I think we have a good chance of getting her back to her spunky self.:)

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Be still my heart. It's 48 degrees here. We won't talk about the water dripping inside - oh no. Or the pond forming in front of the garage door. Nope. It's warm. Like go-outside-long-sleeve-weather warm. Bliss.

Emma is better. Spent all day with her on my lap not moving so I wouldn't disturb her - oh come on, you people with animals, tell me you don't do the same thing. It's the unwritten rule. Anyway, we were mainlining Lost Girl, which is probably the most unabashed sexy show I've ever seen with a story that doesn't take itself too seriously.:) I can't even imagine what they've cut out on Syfy. Heh. I enjoy all the characters, however, Kenzi? She wins for utterly adorable. Think we're half way thru season 2.

Major Emma cuddles, laziness and a new show (for us). A very good weekend was had.

Still love what I am seeing on TWD. The actors manage to convey a lot with quiet.

Please... )

Tonight we'll check out Believe.

Also, [personal profile] killabeez  posted the correct line up of Almost Human. I'm passing it along. This is the list on how they should be watched. The numbers that follow are the mucked up order in which they were aired. Yeah. I don't get it either.

"You Are Here" [1.08]
"Arrhythmia" [1.06]
"Perception" [1.10]
"Skin" [1.02]
"Are You Receiving" [1.03]

[personal profile] harrigan  knows what makes us happy and happy should be passed along.:)

Enjoy!

Norman Reedus may underestimate how yummy he is. People magazine certainly didn't. The kitty story or the guy. It all works for me.:)

... and be pleased as punch happy.:)

There's a lot to be pleased as punch happy about.

I took Muff (cat) to the ophthalmologist today for an eye & blood pressure check. My girl is 24 years old this year. She's a little hypertensive, but blood pressure meds for the past few years have leveled that out and per the Doctor, she's doing fabulous. There's old age stuff happening, lost a pound, hardening of her lenses, but since she's still a purring, eating machine, it's all good.:)

Sammy (cat) - he's gone through so much, but always a trooper - some diet tweaking and he's off the meds that gorked him out and now we have our bright-eyed boy back. He'll be 18 this year and just so flippin' adorable some days we can't even stand it.

Yes, I'm gone over our four-legged babies. And those of you with four-legged babies who know what they add to your life, no other explanation is needed, right?:)

It's spring! There's long green grass and leaves and warm rain and very noisy birds, plants to be planted - oooo... we purchased some heirloom irises and glads this year. Some of which are old enough to have fragrance. So there will be playing in the dirt soon. Like this weekend which is a 5 day weekend for us and I'm so flippin' happy about that and Fast and Furious to go see - this is becoming an incoherent post.

I'm very happy to live in a state where marriage is for everyone and this from someone who doesn't even believe in it, but if that's what you want to do then everyone should have the right to do it. I've been sitting on this out deference to those who may not share this view and not to get political. But I AM ECSTATIC! And the law is written equally. No tweaks, no differences. Equal for 'oops, that didn't work' to 'still holding hands at a hundred' kind of equal. To those whose states have already made the move for marriage equality - happy to join you.:)

Happy Monday to you all!

Ah, dang...

I've gotta declare a LJ flist blackout on my end. I dislike being even a little spoiled for The Walking Dead. Or actually for anything. So, shows like TWD and Haven, which we download from iTunes the morning after, I'm going to avoid the flists until I watch 'em.

And wallow in every bit of the fun after.:D

Took the new LJ friend's page for a 2 second whirl. It's really, uhm - boring/ugly.

Happy time change for everyone who had to set their clocks back an hour! I slept wonderfully in the extra glorious hour.:) Now if I could only get used to the hour of dark that comes way too soon. I'm already gearing up for the Winter Solstice. Just knowing longer/lighter days are ahead make all the difference.:)

People with cats - has any one ever dealt with an older cat with dementia like symptoms? The wandering all night? Wailing? Wanting to eat every hour on the hour and then quite happy to sleep all day? I'm going to try the Bach Flower remedy, Scleranthus, and the acupuncturist/vet did a calming of the mind point this morning. If anyone has any other ideas, my sleep deprived self would love to know them.

Also, has anyone ever tried the Jackson Galaxy Spirit Essences? There's one called Night Owl that shows some promise and another called Graceful Aging that could do the trick. I'd like to know if anyone has had any experience with them before I plunk down the money.

Leaving this post public so if someone knows someone with cats - pass my inquiry along, please. I'd appreciate it!

I'm campaigning for 3 day weekends. 3 day weekends would be much handier.:)

When they stare at the kitty door and holler until you come to find out what the problem is and then expect you to lift the flaps for them.
